There’s actually a lot more going on, but this gives you a fair idea. How far he can move will depend on how cards he’s played and how much money he has earned from smuggled product. At certain points in the game (or due to different effects), Pablo will move his base. As Pablo places sicarios on the board though, the players can deduce his location because each sicario must be placed within a certain distance from Pablo’s hidden base. He stays in the same place and places sicarios on the board to carry out tasks (waylay the players, take control of cities, and smuggle “product” to airports). Pablo Escobar is hidden somewhere on the map, and the other players have to find him using various factions with different abilities. I’ll admit, the theme can be hard for some people to get into though. Narcos is hidden movement, but done in a more unique way. Specter Ops is great, and most other hidden movement games end up making me feel like I’d rather be playing Specter Ops since they are so similar. This is where the real "balance" of the game lies. So generally speaking the table needs to have a rough sense of where everyone is (including teammates) but also needs to weigh this vs the repercussions of taking calculated risks with their cards. The real central tension of the game is determining what cards to use, since every card used for its primary effect is given to the Alien, which it can then use to power up or attack back. But it's also common (at least for my group) to discuss and reason all the different movement scenarios for the table, leading to the longer playtimes. The deduction itself is fairly basic since it's a small map, and usually leads to 33%-50%-66% style decisions. In Anomaly even the "All" are hidden from each other, and several of the action cards can lead to friendly fire. Mostly because while deduction is a big part of the game, it's not the focus like classic HM games such as Whitechapel and Spectre Ops.
